Read it as a cultural and cosmetic guide. The aim is to understand the origin, meaning and formulation of these ingredients more clearly, not to replace medical advice or promise therapeutic results.

Lipids with very different geographies

Argan speaks of Morocco and Amazigh culture; jojoba of the arid landscapes of the Americas; and hemp of a broad agricultural and utilitarian journey across Europe and Asia. Each of these ingredients comes from a different environment, and that has also shaped its cosmetic reading.

They are more than simple oils; they are cultural materials linked to protection, flexibility, hair maintenance, exposed skin care and base formulations with strong identity.

From landscape to skin and hair

The culture of body and hair oils is not only chemistry; it is also habit, climate and gesture. In dry regions, denser oils offered more protection. In lighter cleansing routines, people sought textures that balanced without smothering.

Reading jojoba, argan and hemp also means reading three different ways of understanding nourishment, balance and comfort.

In the world of skin and hair nourishment, vegetable oils play an irreplaceable role. Two of the undisputed stars are argan oil and jojoba oil, although they work in different ways and each serves a specific purpose.

Argan oil, often called “liquid gold”, is extracted from the seeds of Argania spinosa in Morocco. It is exceptionally rich in vitamin E, ferulic acid, squalene — a non-greasy conditioning agent — and essential fatty acids. It delivers intensive hydration, significantly reduces frizz and relieves extreme dryness of both the skin and scalp, helping to prevent hair breakage.

Jojoba oil, Simmondsia chinensis, is technically not an oil at all, but a wax ester whose composition closely resembles human sebum. This gives it an almost “magical” property: rather than leaving a greasy residue, it is rapidly absorbed and helps dissolve excess sebum in blocked follicles. It is therefore particularly suitable for oily dandruff or combination skin. It also forms a long-lasting protective veil against polluted air.

THE ART OF COMBINING THEM

Blending argan and jojoba creates a perfectly balanced routine. Argan repairs split ends, while jojoba helps keep the roots clean and purified. For acne-prone skin that needs nourishment without shine, combining these oils with hemp seed oil or CBD — cannabidiol — actives can be particularly effective. CBD helps modulate inflammation and acts as a powerful sebum regulator which, unlike alcohol or other aggressive ingredients, does not disrupt or dry out the delicate skin barrier.
